| BIG 3 Cricket Challenge Cup 2004 The second annual Big 3 cricket challenge was held at Bloomers Park on Saturday July 17th. The event consists of teams from Daimler Chrysler, General Motors and Ford. The Big 3 tournament is the marquee event of the MichCA and this year the special guest was former Australian Test Captain Greg Chappell. For the second straight year Ford was crowned the champions. The MSCC cricket club was well represented at the event with the following players taking part: Ford Team General Motors Team Jagdish John Ravi Chandran Rao Kamal Sompalli Jacob Amutham Navaratnam Chellury Dharmasari  Daimler Chrysler Team Big 3 Umpire Event Manager Suresh Kumar Asela Aazer Puredchi Srinivason Jayasinghe Medhora   MichCA State Team 2004 The Michigan Cricket Association were the defending champions for this years Central East Zone Tournament. Rain was a big dampener on this years event in the early rounds. MichCA successfully made it through to the final after beating Indiana in the preliminary round. The final was contested in Chicago against Minnesota in what was a closely contested final. Unfortunately the state team was not able defend their title narrowly loosing in the final overs. Once again the state team was well represented by the following MSCC players: Karthik Warwick Chandran Jagdish John Ramaswamy McLaren Navaratnam Sompalli Jacob  Congratulations two both Karthik and Chandran for being selected to represent the Central East Zone at the National Championship finals |
